Acrylics were the first paint I became comfortable with. They dry fast so you can add layer after layer and because of that I feel they are best for embracing the creative process and following where the piece takes me. The versatility is my favorite thing about acrylics; depending on how you use them you can achieve effects resembling both watercolors and oils.
