About Me
“The purest and most thoughtful minds are those which love color the most.”
Maggie Ventura | Paint Color Specialist
Color has such a huge influence on our mood. My mission is to find paint colors that bring comfort and help people feel their best at home. My process for color consultations combines color theory, asking the right questions, and reading my clients verbal and nonverbal cues to help determine what I call their Color Comfort Zone. I coordinate colors to the architecture, fixtures, and lighting, assuring that our selections connect with everything that is staying the same while asking my clients many questions to ensure the results bring them comfort.
I work in-person at my clients homes using large paper samples of Sherwin-Williams paint colors to determine their Color Comfort Zone for both interior and exterior paint projects. We tour the space being painted, talk through ideas and challenges and review samples together. Once we determine the best color options for their project, I leave them with small paper samples that day and follow up with large paper samples and notes including photos and color information that communicate exactly what color is recommended for what surface. I offer a variety of Supportive Services to address any additional needs my clients may have.
I’ve been told many times after the consultation: “Wow! That was easier than I thought it would be!”
I’ve consulted on paint colors since 2017 when I transitioned from teaching art classes to being a consultant for Sherwin-Williams. I stayed with the company until 2021 and learned about how to apply my knowledge of color theory to house color trends. When Covid happened, my job changed from consulting on colors to mixing paint which resulted in me learning even more about paint products and application.
I started Ventura Color at the end of 2021 and have already built many strong relationships with painting companies and other businesses. I have a passion for older architecture in St. Louis and love creating new visual patterns on exteriors by changing the color layout on cornices while connecting with the masonry. I enjoy meeting clients where they’re at and working through the unique challenges that come with each project and truly value the opportunity I have to make people feel more comfortable in their homes with the right colors.
